The Auburn Chamber of Commerce awarded $16,500 in scholarships at the annual Scholarship Award Breakfast on Wednesday, May 23 at the Auburn – Webster Elks Lodge. Since 1995, the Auburn Chamber has awarded a total of $293,000 in student scholarships and teacher mini-grants through the proceeds from its annual School/Business Partnership Golf Tournament held each September.

- Bridget White received the $3,000 Stephen Lucas Memorial Scholarship
Chamber Scholarship Recipients

- Patrick Kapur received the $3,000 Major David L. Brodeur Scholarship
“With baby boomers retiring, by 2030 it is estimated there will be over 100,000 degree jobs open in Massachusetts” said Pedone. “Invest in our higher education system, whether public or private” Pedone implored. “It is incredibly important for our economy that we maintain a well-educated citizenry.”
