The Town of Auburn plastic bag restrictions go into effect on October 1, 2021.

In October 2019, Auburn Town Meeting approved plastic bag usage restictions for local businesses. The bylaw was effective in early 2020, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, enforecement was deferred. With the state of emergency now ended, the Town is moving forward with the enactment of the bylaw.
