The Chamber will be awarding scholarships to local graduating seniors at this year’s annual breakfast event. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Satya Mirta.

Dr. Satya Mitra came to USA in 1976 to pursue his career in Bio-Medical research with a Ph. D. in Biochemistry from India. However, because of some divine reasons, he changed his profession to become a Tax Consultant and Financial Advisor. Since 1990, he is the President
and CEO of his firm “The Guru Tax & Financial Services, Inc.” located in Worcester.

Satya’s childhood was challenging and difficult. His mother passed away when he was 3 years old. He along with his father spent several months being homeless. His father gradually became victim of several ailments and later slowly started losing his eyesight and became blind. But many people helped him on the way. Hence, he grew up with the thought of giving back and helping others.

Today, he is a philanthropist, humanitarian, community server, author, speaker, and an entrepreneur. Satya serves as a Board member and Trustee of many organizations in the community including the Board of Worcester State University Foundation. For his humanitarian services and successful entrepreneurship, he has been recognized with many awards, accolades and honors.
