The Auburn Chamber of Commerce sponsored its biennial Town Wide Cleanup on Saturday, May 4. Dozens of volunteers and Town workers spread out across the Town to remove trash and rubbish. Volunteers gathered at the Auburn Fire Rescue Headquarters early on this dreary Saturday where they were offered coffee, juice and snacks before receiving instructions and heading out across town.
In conjunction with this year’s event, there was also shredding available at bankHometown at Heritage Plaza, Republic Services offered recycling of large metal items, Central Mass Mosquito Control collected old tires, and Interstate Battery offered battery recycling. Masterman’s provided supplies for the volunteers including gloves, bags, and safety vests.
Following the hard work, Outback treated the volunteers to a free luncheon.
